Hello, I am Sammy from Hello Little Crumb.
I am a self trained cake artist specialising in modern wedding cakes and special occasion cakes, based on the beautiful southern Gold Coast Qld.
I have been baking casually my whole life (I have a major sweet tooth!) so it really felt like a natural progression when I made the decision to create a career in the cake industry. It was definitely humble beginnings for Hello Little Crumb. So I set out making birthday cakes for friends and relatives perfecting an practising my best recipes until I was happy with them, trying so many new techniques and decorative styles until I found what felt right for me.
I would say my style is simple with a hint of whimsy, I love feminine designs and soft washed out colours with a hint of texture to add interest. Another thing I just love about modern cakes is the beautiful floral work I didn't realise until I started my cake journey that I had such a passion for flowers!
I enjoy making cakes with unique flavour profiles and I try to change up my ‘gourmet’ cake flavour regularly to keep things interesting for you and for me and of course. If I do not have something on my menu for you, I am always excited to create a unique menu just for you! I endeavour to use the finest quality ingredients that I can source as I truly believe that it shows in the end results and there is no point in a stunning cake that doesn't taste to match.
I cater to the Gold Coast - Byron region and have recently expanded to include parts of the beautiful Scenic Rim. I love working with these unique venues and vendors that can inspire the whole event and all come together harmoniously to create some magic. |
